A little bio

Welcome to Mind Fantastic.

Hello, I’m Jiana, a Psychotherapist offering face-to-face therapy in St Neots (PE19 1BG) and Abbotsley, Cambridgeshire, as well as online therapy across the UK via Zoom.

I created Mind Fantastic after my own life-changing experience of therapy. Having personally navigated childhood neglect, alcohol addiction, anxiety, depression and workplace stress/burnout, existential fatigue and complicated family dynamics, I understand how overwhelming life can feel and how life changing therapy and the therapeutic relationship can be in helping you find clarity, peace and hope for the future.

I provide a warm, compassionate and accepting space where we can explore what is happening in your life right now and how your past experiences may be shaping your present. Together, we work towards helping you live a more fulfilling and authentic life. I’d like to think that I am the curious, accepting and emotionally regulating voice that I never had. Helping you better understand yourself, improve relationships and create meaningful and lasting change.

In addition to being an a registered member of the BACP (MBACP), the NCPS (MNCPS Acc.) and the National Hypnotherapy Society, I am fully insured and registered with Information Commissioners Office which ensures  GDPR compliance. DBS cleared.

Why Now?

Why now? Anxiety, depression, addiction, loss, bereavement, anticipated loss/loss of a pet, stress, panic attacks, confidence and self-esteem concerns and relationship, intimacy and sex issues are just some of the areas that talking therapy is helpful for.

Why not?  Realising that you want therapy and to look for a therapist can be a big decision to make as you are investing in yourself. Sometimes it may be a hard decision as it can be the start of a journey, perhaps with some bumps and bends along the way, and this is where I travel alongside you.

I am trained as, and practice as a pluralistic therapist which means that I am purely led by your wants and needs and we will always work collaboratively. The concept of pluralistic therapy is recognising that each of us is different and one style of therapy may not necessarily be effective and that is why a bespoke treatment plan is key.

At times, when therapy starts, other issues may naturally come up and the direction of therapy changes, meaning the amount of sessions that you want, being more or less, also changes. â€‹

I have personally had many hours of therapy at different times in my adult life. We change. Different experiences can mean different challenges and having short term counselling for a specific area you wish to work on, or longer term psychotherapy for some areas that may need more time devoted to, is something I can help you with.

I have a modern outlook and approach to life and psychotherapy, which means that I am always seeking new methods in how to best help you. Weekly sessions are not always necessary and some clients benefit from being able to book ad hoc appointments at short notice even months apart.

Adoption, specifically the process of being approved, as well as adoption disruption (pre and post) is an area where I can offer support.

I am sex positive and lifestyle/kink friendly.

Single Session Therapy

Perhaps you have a decision to make and would benefit from working through it in a therapeutic environment, or you have an issue, such as a relationship or work concern that you would like to explore. Single session therapy is an effective way to access therapy without the thought of necessarily entering into a short or long-term commitment, although single session can be used to look at whether longer term therapy would be beneficial.

All appointments are face to face. A free 10-minute telephone consultation, before booking, is helpful to make sure that single session therapy is suitable for your needs.
